Computer Scrap Quilts

While scavenging packing materials for an art shipment, I noticed a pile of computer parts in a nearby dumpster; I retrieved them from a fate in some landfill. I did not know how I would use them, but an artist usually acts on instinct. When these obsolete semi-conductors, circuit boards, disc-drive units and silicon chips spoke to me, I created art quilts in formal compositions. The visual beauty of the electronic circuitry combined with my need to recycle inspires these "altar pieces for the new religion of technology."
