Found Materials
Artists look at the world a little differently; maybe that's why I love found objects. My latest creations, The Envelope Series, and the Computer Scrap Series were inspired by things I found quite by accident, proving that anything can be art material. I also think the western North Carolina craftsperson in me contributes to my fascination with recycling free materials to use in my art quilts; we hate wasting anything, especially visually beautiful things that can serve a purpose.
